Juvenile Iguana. Approx 2 foot snout to tail. Slightly better than rescue condition.
This iguana has been brought back to health somewhat but I simply do not have the room to keep him here long term. Settling in but by no means tame yet. Had a gash on his leg which has healed over nicely, underweight but starting to put on weight slowly, lack of UV causing early stages of MBD being supplemented with regular doses of BoneAid.
Points to note:
- Ongoing care with BoneAid & Dietary supplementation with Nutrobal or other appropriate supplement - Will only eat mixed leaf salad (with no spinach or iceberg lettuce) with grated carrot, butternut squash, parsnip. A few other random bits but when supplementing, only leaves & carrot. - A lot of work with regards to handling & taming required
Will only go to someone who:
- Has experience with Iguanas/Large lizards - Has proof of appropriate large housing - Has a genuine interest in Iguanas - Is capable of providing necessary ongoing care & will keep me updated regularly - Will contact me and return the Iguana to my care either permanently or for rehoming should circumstances change and they are no longer able to care for the Iguana
This may sound a little OTT but I've grown to love this little guy and it is only out of absolute necessity that I'm moving him on. I have absolutely no problem holding onto this Iguana until the right person comes along, and I am going to be very fussy as to who takes him home. Please do not be offended if I say no.
Any further details through PM, Email (dutchcloggy at gmail dot com) or mobile (086 1925880) so as to keep this thread clean.
Please, no time wasters, this is hard enough as it is.
Thanks,
Milca

Still holding out. He's coming on in leaps and bounds, really putting the weight back on and becoming a little calmer.

I was speaking to somebody at the weekend who is hopefully going to take him in about a fortnight. I will post back here with an update as to whether or not he's gone then.
Thanks,
M

Well, he didn't go, but I have another person lined up to take him in a week or two (again lol), so we'll see how it goes this time. He's in fantastic shape now and eating like a champ, delighted with his progress. He's 'greened' right back up again and everything is great
