It is indeed real. When the camera does a close-up look carefully at its nostril, air bubbles. GTP do tend to drink alot sometimes. Mine went about a 2-3 weeks of not touching his water(from what I could see anyway) and then suddenly went for it and drank tones. Not quite as much as this lad mind you but he must have been drinking for 1-2 mins......

Good god people. How much time do you think people have? Who on earth would make a very lifelike GTP and then show it "drinking" water.
Get real folks. Its simply a very dehydrated green tree python. YOu can all replicate this with any snake you chose. Simply so do not offer it water for a few weeks then offer it water. You will find its tongue is remarkably similar in movement each time.

Back to reality children.

Wow, who took your lollipop!!!

Nobody. I am simply sitting back and laughing at comments posted here. Its a dehydrated green tree python. NO Jurasic Park style animatronics, no fake snakes, just a snake at risk of death.

Look closer guys the head of that snake is not real it isnt even attached to the body :Smiley

OK, at 0.27 it does look like the snake's neck isn't attached at the body but...

0.16 - ...that's because the neck is curving into a loop

1.16 - you can definately see the loop here

I'm not well up on GTP's but I've observed corns drinking plenty of times and they DO move their mouths like that when they're drinking

1.56 - you can see the underside of the snake's neck moving as it swallows

2.32 - snake's head moves slightly, mine do this too

2.35 - air bubbles in nose as the snake exhales start to appear

4.07 - up to about now the tongue flicks were fairly uniform, regular and slow, but they start to change now

4.10 - tongue flickers rapidly when the snake sticks tongue out
