Not all rescues go well, so i will say this public, some of you may remember the Jungle carpet python i got as re-home, it had major burns, allot more than was thought before we had seen it, allot of you had given me advice and the snake had been to the vets for various treatment, this was back in march, as of late all seemed good the burns left scars but had healed and the snake was eatting but that said not eatting the right size food and had of course been off food for some time, i really had hopes for this snake by now as we in September but my fear was the under eating although the food size has been getting bigger of course of time after he starting again, but sadly i went to the Viv tonight to find he had died, its upsetting to lose any but i found this one very hard to lose, well sorry for a sad thread but i needed to say as some of you have helped with advice etc and it sometimes is good to share!

Sorry to hear it Mat. Commendations on the hard work you put in with him. It's always very sad to lose any animal, but worse when you work so hard and are convinced you're on the right track. Sad

really sorry to hear that, unfortunatley its a fact of life all pet owners will have to face, i hope sharing it made the loss easier to take. RIP unnamed JCP.

sorry to hear this mat, but at least you know that you gave
it a much better quality of while it was in your care.

So sorry..... it's so hard to lose a rescue when you try so hard, love them so much, and so want them to make it after what they have been through.... I've never lost a snake but have lost a kitten (all my animals are rescues). I still think of her, but you can only do your best. It's the ignorance, cruelty and neglect of others that kills them, not people like us who try to save them. Keep it up. My first snake was a JCP rescue. Baptism of fire but he is fat and healthy now after almost starving to death. You will have more successes than failures due to your care and dedication I am sure.

No theres nothing worse. Ive been lucky to a certain extent with my guys that nothing has passed away (touch wood) but ive seen it in the shop a few times and its a sickener.
Angers me when people dont look after them properly. One burn on that JCP should have alerted the owner to get a damn bulb guard.

RIP JCP

Some people sicken me, Why buy an animal if you're not going to care for it right. I just don't understand why you'd buy it in the first place. But mate you took it and did all you could and that was a very nice thing to do Smiley RIP JCP
